The New Beehive Inn

The New Beehive Inn is a classic Edwardian Inn built in 1901. It has a unique atmosphere with five separate gaslit bars, a range of fine beers and whiskies, and accomodation upstairs. "A gem, many-roomed gas-lit inn retaining all its Edwardian character. Offering high standards of food, accomodation and hospitality" according to CAMRA, who know a thing or two about pubs.

The extensive cellar bar area hosted Carpe Noctum from September 2006, being our first new home after ending our residency at the 1 in 12 Club, to June 2007. The layout (at the time) meant it wasn't practical to include bands at these events, which was perhaps one of many reasons why things never quite worked out there. We parted on good terms, however, and wouldn't rule out an occasional return if the occasion is right for it.
