The Mannville Arms, alongside the Frog & Toad, Smithy, Empress and Exchange, was one of Bradford's great rock/alternative pubs of old. After some years in the doldrums, as Scruffy Murphy's and then The Head, new management in 2008 reverted to the old name and ethos, and we quickly launched the weekly Bad Moon Rising DJ night there. Within the year, we branched out to run occasional Saturday night gigs at the venue.
The leaseholders instigated a change of management toward the end of 2009, and our nights (Thursdays and Saturdays both) migrated with the management and staff to the Zuu Bar across town.
The Mannville Arms is now permanently closed, the building being converted to a Cost-Cutter shop.
